Radiation Measurement Environment
I am measuring, establishing GM-10 Geiger counter(made in U.S.A) to indoor.
Accordingly, the measuring result shows the value of the radiation with my home indoor.
However, I think that even the radiation measurement in the living environment is beneficial.
I do measurement every 5 minutes and be displaying the measuring result of 288points/1day.
This measuring device is using Geiger-Muller tube for the sensor.
Accordingly, the unit of measurement result is the CPM, but have the high profile uSv/hr have been converted to the graph.
However, CPM(Count Per Minute) can not transform definition of the sievert.
We are used to convert Siebert following approximation.
108 CPM is about 1 uSv/hr for C060
120 CPM is about 1 uSv/hr for Cs137

It is known that the influence to the human body differs even same Absorbed dose, when the kind and energy of the radiation differ.
Therefore, Dose equivalent = Absorbed dose x Dose coefficient(Sievert) was defined by the ICRP recommendation in 1977 as an amount that the radiation influenced the human body.
The computational method of Dose equivalent was defined more strictly in the ICRP recommendation in 1990.
Even, the name was modified to equivalent dose(HT,RWREDT,R).
In this system, this equivalent dose (Micro Sievert: uSv) is used.
However, this uses the gaiga-myu-ra tube. Therefore, the elementary unit is CPM.
And, it is converted to equivalent dose is about analysis of radioactive material must be calculated in a corresponding dose coefficients.
In this measurement is based on the results if the rate Cobalt-60 and Cesium-137 from the CPM for uSv we say that a simple conversion method into view.
Therefore, the accuracy is a little worse, in units that are easy to understand, I think is worth.
